ElectronicDartboard.com currently carries two of the best electronic dartboards available for home use from Spider and Shelti. These electronic dartboards are the same great pub-quality you find in your favorite establishment but now available to order for your man cave, rec room, office breakroom, or garage. We carry two distinct models of dartboard and want to help you decide which board is best for you.
Shelti Eye2 Home Electronic Dartboard
The Shelti Eye² Electronic Dartboard is a great choice for competitive players across the country and is now available for home use! It features a hinged cabinet that folds for easy portability and installation. The overhead scoring unit has a bright LED and is pre-programmed with many different dart games. This dartboard is made in the USA and ships freight to your door.
It has a visible overhead scoring unit, multiple game types, on-screen directions, auto and manual player change, includes leg levelers, a phone-style keypad for easy use, and features a red and blue dartboard color scheme throughout.
The Shelti Eye2 has been a staple for many years in the competitive dart throwing world and comes at a slightly lower price tag then our other premium electronic dartboard we carry. The Shelti is a great dartboard for someone not looking to break the bank and does not need online connectivity capabilities to enjoy their dart throwing experience.
Strengths: Portability, Lower Price Tag, Time Tested
Weaknesses: Connectivity, Technology
Spider 360 2000 Series Home Electronic Dartboard
The Spider360 2000 Series Home Electronic Dartboard is great for the competitive dart thrower looking to stay connected and move up the ranks. The Spider 360 is a cutting edge dart machine that can now be brought into your home space.
The Spider 360 2000 introduces an entirely new way to compete in the digital age. The 2000 is compatible with The Leaderboard™, a global online ranking system based on your skill level by tracking your Marks Per Round (MPR) or Points Per Dart (PPD). Test your skills and get ranked online with your nickname displayed on all Spider Series dart games and on the mobile app. This separates the Spider from the Shelti Eye2 but does come with a price tag. The Spider is currently about 35% more than the Shelti and that doesn't include the yearly service fee for The Leaderboard (optional). If you're not interested in The Leaderboard online rankings, you can still purchase the dartboard and decline to use it to save more money.
The Spider 360 2000 also includes an AI system called MarkDart to track your gameplay and give you an automated competitor who learns as you go. MarkDart can become an additional player to your match and help you compete against any number of player. Mark will go from Amateur to Master and anywhere in between.
The Spider features a larger 19" screen, cutting-edge tri-color LED lighting, a lighter cabinet, auto or manual player change, a camera that works with The Leaderboard, internet connection for software updates, and is only 18" deep. Overall the Spider boats some really great features compared to the Shelti but the price reflects those features.
Strengths: Connectivity, Technology, Tri-Color LED
Weaknesses: Price Point, Portability
In the end, if you're looking for a great electronic dartboard you can't go wrong with either of these options but they do carry some distinct advantages. If you're looking for an economical but super high-quality dartboard without the need for online connectivity and rankings, the Shelti Eye2 is your best bet. It will serve you well.
But if online connectivity, cutting-edge technology, tri-color LED lights, and AI player functions are important to you, then the Spider 360 2000 is the perfect match for you. You won't regret spending the extra money on investing into a modern machine that will update as you go and provide you an (optional) online leaderboard to move up the ranks.
